EXTREME RECORDS

From the beginning of September I began recording most extremes for the 24 hours to 9am (how I already record rainfall). This includes Min Air Temps, Max Humidity, Max Dew-Point Temps, Max Wind Gusts & Min Wind Chill Temps (recorded on the same day). Others are recorded between 3pm & 6pm (recorded on the same day), these include Max Air Temps, Min Humidity & Min Dew-Point Temps.

ANEMOMETER CHANGES (Wind)

From the 1st of September my Dad and I raised the height of my anemometer on our antenna by 1.5m. This I am hoping will make the instrument more exposed and less protected from winds, particularly those from the North West. This month I recorded my highest ever average monthly maximum wind gust – at this point I am unsure if this is due to my anemometer being more exposed or September simply being a windy month.
