| Brief 2004 Summary of Significant Weather Events | |||||||||
| Jan - A very warm start to the year with all but one of the first 11 days being >30°C. Hail was reported on the 24th. | |||||||||
| Feb - Record breaking heat struck on the 21st in the form of a heat low. This broke Feb & all-time records according to | |||||||||
| BoM in several areas of the Hunter. Heavy rains on the 25-26th totaled 123.6mm for the 2 days. | |||||||||
| Mar - A humid month with regular rainfall mixed with the odd hot day. | |||||||||
| Apr - Nothing out the ordinary here, just some dry air & cool air temps towards the end of the month. | |||||||||
| May - Nothing out the ordinary here either, just winter taking hold late in the month. | |||||||||
| Jun - Pretty dry with many cool overnight temps & snow in the Barrington Tops on the 20th (4cm) & 27th. | |||||||||
