Hunter
Extreme Heat |
~
Near record breaking temperatures were observed throughout parts of the
hunter on Thu 2nd. Although coastal |
areas were spared the more extreme
temperatures, conditions were made extreme with the higher moisture levels - |
particularly in areas a short distance
from the coast. On this day the Areas further inland received the higher |
temperatures such as Singleton (44.5°C)
& Jerrys Plains (45.5°C). This is interesting when looking back on the
new years |
day heat. ie Singleton broke the hunter
record with 45.9°C & Jerrys Plains did not record - wonder what they
would have |
measured? |
