Instrument
Additions |
|
|
~
Car Thermometer - To be used for my mobile temperature data observations.
Able to be used only when my car |
is running with the outside sensor placed
under a side mirror. Proving to be very accurate so far. |
|
~
Car Anemometer - To be used for my mobile wind data observations. This
instrument is mounted on a base that |
contains two strong magnets (ie Mag Mount
Anem.) which are car mountable. This means I am able to measure wind in |
the rain without getting wet, excellent on
storm chases! Measures wind speed, gust & run. Also accurate so far. |
I wish to thank my mate Tim Grugeon for
putting me onto this one. He also has one & we put it to the test on our
last |
storm chase - while driving, we recorded a
max gust of 122.5km/h! See www.inspeed.com for details. |

~
Nothing to report from the hunter. Tropical Cyclones (TC) were active around
northern Australia with TC Larry striking |
Innisfail in QLD as a cat. 5 on the 20th.
TC Wati did not reach Aus's coastline, though on the 25th was equal to |
Newcastle's latitude & would have been
equivalent to a cat. 3 TC. TC Glenda lurked off Port Headland in WA as a cat.
