Barrington Tops Snowfalls
~ Sat 3rd - My mate Tim went up chasing snow that may have fallen the previous night. He said snow was confined to
above 1400m & Polblue (1450m) had a wet 5cm cover with heavy cloud/fog hugging the main range. Temps remained
between 1 & 2°C. Campers at Polblue said snow began falling around midnight & early morning saw an 8cm cover.
Hail Reports
~ Mon 5th - Small hail was reported from some parts of the Port Stephens coastal areas, Bobs Farm & Lemon Tree
   Passage in particular.
Fog Reports
~ Sat 10th - Heavy morning fog cleared briefly before rolling back in & dropping visibility to 300m by 1130. Fog cleared
rapidly again shortly after due to light rain.
Instrument Additions
~ Added a 'Ferrite Supressor' to my AWS cable in order to prevent erronous data as a result of close lightning strikes.
~ Purchased the necessary equipment to fix my AWS rain gauge. Should be fixed & re-located with additional current
rainfall data added to my website in the next few weeks.
~ Finally purchased myself a digital SLR still camera (Canon EOS 350D). Hoping to capture myself some nice weather &
   other photos.
